Barbara Feldman,
Allied AIA,
has been a space planner and interior designer in
Manhattan and the Hamptons for three decades. When asked what she
designs, her answer is "everything I touch" and her
comprehensive portfolio is proof of the pudding.
Always one to think outside the box (“what’s a box?”), Barbara was
one of the first healthcare interior designers and a founding patron of
the National Symposium on Healthcare Design. In 2006 she was voted "Best of the Best" in the Hamptons by the readers of Dan's Paper
and in 2008 named to Hamptons Magazine "The List Issue" as
one of the top designers in the Hamptons.
Barbara
is also a licensed real estate agent in East Hampton, NY, using her skills as a
designer to stage
her exclusive listings. Her unique abilities to recognize the
potential in properties also helps buyers find well priced treasures
that may not be putting their best foot forward at first glance.
On a personal note, Barbara spends many of her weekends showing her two
Afghan Hounds, Westminster Ch. Triplicity Encore Oliver (Ollie) and her
new puppy, Elizabeth. Barbara also has Ms. Kitty, an ARF rescue, and
cares for two feral cats who always seem to find their way to her front
door at dinnertime.
Barbara is an avid reader and loves to cook.
